The Heart Of David With Presence Of Holy Spirit

1st Samuel: Chapter 17, Verse 34-36, 42-50
Verse 34-36: But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and stuck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, struck it and kill it. Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defiled the armies of the living God.”

Verse 42-45: And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, the disdained him; foe he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking. So the Philistine said to David, “Am I dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defiled.

Verse 46-47: “This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistine to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s and He will give you into our hands.”

Verse 48-50: So it was, when the Philistine arose, came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and stuck the Philistine in his forehead, and he fell on his face on the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and kill him.

1st Chronicles: Chapter 16, Verse 1-3
So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then they offered burnt offerings and peace offering before God. And when David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offering, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord. Then he distributed to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat and a cake of raisins.

1st Samuel: Chapter 23, Verse 1-13
Verse 1-3: Then they told David, saying “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and they are robbing the threshing floor.” Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” And the Lord said to David, “Go and attack the Philistines and save Keilah.” But David’s men said to him, “Look, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?”

Verse 4-5: Then David inquired of the Lord once again. And the Lord answered him and said, “Arise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.” And David and his man went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines, stuck them with a mighty blow, and took away their livestock. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.

Verse 7-9: And Saul was told that David, had gone to Keilah. So Saul said, “God has delivered him into my hand, for he has shut himself in by entering a town that has gates and bars.” Then Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men. When David knew that Saul plotted evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod here to inquire of the Lord.”

Verse 10-12: Then David said, “O Lord God of Israel, Your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake. Will the men of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down as Your servant has heard? O Lord God of Israel, I pray, tell your servant.” And the Lord said, “He will come down.” Then David said, “Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” And the Lord said, “They will deliver you.”

Verse 13: So David and his men, about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go.

1st Chronicles: Chapter 22, Verse 5-19
Verse 5-7: Now David said, “Solomon my son is young and inexperience and the house to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all countries. I will now make preparation for it.” So David made abundant preparations before his death. Then he called for his son Solomon and charged him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel. David said to Solomon, “My son, as for me, it was it my mind to build a house to the name of the Lord my God;

Verse 8-9: “But the word of God came to me saying, you have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name. Behold, a man shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be called Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.”

Verse 10-12: “He shall build a house for My name, and he shall by My son and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever. Now my son, may the Lord be with you and may you prosper, build the house of the Lord your God, as He has said to you. Only may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.”

Verse 13: “Then you will prosper, if you take care to fulfill the statues and judgments with which the Lord charged Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and of good courage; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Verse 19: “Now set your heart and your mind and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Therefore arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy articles of God into the house that is to be built for the name of the Lord.”
